How It Works

Our YouTube transcript extractor works directly in your browser through a Chrome extension. Extract transcripts from entire channels or individual videos with just a few clicks. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Install the Extension

First, install our Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. The extension integrates seamlessly with YouTube, allowing you to extract transcripts directly from any YouTube page you're viewing.

Step 2: Access the Extension

Once installed, click on the puzzle icon in your Chrome toolbar (located in the top-right corner of your browser). This opens the extensions menu where you can access our TubeWhiz extension.

Step 3: Navigate to YouTube

Go to YouTube and navigate to the content you want to extract:

  • For Channel Extraction: Navigate to the channel's main page (e.g., youtube.com/@channelname or youtube.com/c/channelname)
  • For Individual Video Extraction: Navigate to the specific video page you want to extract

Step 4: Start Extraction

The extension will automatically detect whether you're on a channel page or video page and provide the appropriate extraction options. Click the extract button to begin the process.

Step 5: Download Your Transcripts

Once extraction is complete, all transcripts are compiled into a CSV file that downloads automatically. You can open this CSV in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application for further analysis, searching, or processing.
